Model Film Agreement Contract

Nothing in this Agreement shall obligate Purchaser to produce or exploit the Picture or any of the granted rights hereunder.  Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed as requiring Purchaser to exercise the Option or to exercise or exploit, or to continue to exercise or exploit, any or all of the Purchased Rights granted hereunder.  There is no guarantee of compensation hereunder, except for the Initial Option Payment.

Commentary

This provision makes it clear that the Purchaser is not required to actually produce a film or TV series.
