About
Jennifer D. Diamond, a speech therapist/reading specialist turned award-winning author, acts as Area 4 Representative for Pennwriters, Inc. and organizes local gatherings for writers in all stages of the writing journey. Diamond's first fully fictional short story can be found in Shell House, a compilation created by the Mindful Writers Retreat Authors. And her short pieces of memoir are included in two other Mindful Writers Retreat Anthologies. In addition, her memoir about the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic appears in the international award-winning anthology Voices from the Pandemic, edited by Don Helin. She also writes a quarterly speech/language development column for the Altoona Mirror. While writing in various genres, one theme continues through all of Diamond’s work — those transformative moments when new insights strike — in hopes her readers feel less alone during challenging times. Diamond lives with her husband, two college-aged kids, and their rescue dog, a Brussels-Griffon mix, in the northeast corner of Cambria County, Pennsylvania, USA.
