Jennifer Hunsicker
My name is Jennifer Hunsicker, an author and freelance writer living in the Nashville, Tennessee, area with my honey and our two pets. Maddie is a little Yorkshire terrier, and Abby is a tabby kitten. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, watching movies, and writing. My hobbies include cross stitch, walking nature trails, amateur photography, touring historic sites, visiting aquariums, and sometimes making jewelry.
For more than 25 years, I worked as a librarian and library manager, mostly in public libraries, with nearly two years in an engineering library. While on this path, I took business and writing courses, attended many writing conferences, and even had a couple of children's books published. Currently, I am pursuing my combined loves of learning, research, and writing to educate and entertain others through fiction as well as nonfiction. I tend to write a lot about families, and I love picture books and writing for kids. Soon you will see a few of my fiction manuscripts coming through Penned Imaginings Press, my self-publishing business. I also write nonfiction for both children and adults.
Today, in addition to my writing, I am working as an administrator for a logistics company. The experiences from all of my jobs along life's journey have added and continue to add depth, variety, and skill to my creative and professional writing.

Play It Again, Grandpa!
A young boy and his grandfather spend front-porch time playing music and learning from each other. Their music draws in family, friends, and neighbors for enjoyment, dancing, singing, and playing a variety of bluegrass instruments. A picture glossary of the instruments is included in the back as well as a brief history and explanation of bluegrass music.
