Frank Edwards' day job for most of his working life was as an emergency physician, but his resumé includes having been a military helicopter pilot in Vietnam, a musician, as well as having started and run an emergency medicine residency program and conducted research. He has had two non-fiction books published by traditional publishers, a collection of stories and poems published by a university press, and two novels put out by a small publishing operation. He earned an MFA from Warren Wilson, taught creating writing to medical students, published poems in literary journals including the Virginia Quarterly Review. and has written numerous articles for various medical publications. He is currently finishing a novel that he hopes to publish via a traditional house.
