The Army of the Potomac Marches On
'The Army of the Potomac Marches On' is a work written by Author, Historian, and Presenter Paul Duerr. His eighth book to date, this is the seventh in the category of historical fiction, and fourth with the Civil War as its subject. Beginning with the onset of the war and the political realities of secession, Paterson NJ native Henry Bauer grapples with personal and national realities enlisting in the 1st New Jersey Light Artillery with his best friend Cormac out of a sense of duty.
Henry serves in every major engagement of the eastern theater of the American Civil War, bearing witness to some of history's most titanic and defining clashes. Dealing with family at home and the horrors of war, Henry's service represents the average soldiers experience in the single most important era in American history.
