Julie Southworth
Julie Southworth is a disabled poet and writer living in Berkeley, CA. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Forum, Milvia Street Art and Literary Journal, and Colossus:Home: An Anthology of Lives In and Out of Place. Julie works as a writing coach at Berkeley City College and is pursuing a Certificate in Writing from UC Berkeley Extension. A Center for Cultural Innovation grant recipient, she writes to make her chronic illnesses—depression, fibromyalgia, epilepsy—and life visible. When untethered from her doctors, Julie plays story games, makes muesli, and slurps noodles with her partner.
