My two major subject areas are politics and fitness-healing-exercise. For me, though, these are not so distinct. In both domains, I'm seeking to communicate a core way of thinking about how individuals actively make sense of the world.
Awareness Heals, my first book (1997), is about my mentor, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, creator of the Feldenkrais Method of somatic education, which I've taught and practiced for many years. Young children learn to walk and talk by playing, exploring, and imitating. As they learn to walk, they outgrow crawling and leave it behind. With FlexAware, my approach, and Feldenkrais lessons, people of all ages can become more aware and skillful, to "outgrow" back pain, asthma, arthritis, depression, and other problem conditions.
In writing about politics, I discuss ways that we, collectively, can "outgrow" pollution, poverty, racism, crime, and war. My most recent book, my fifth on these themes, is Basic Income Imperative (2017).

Basic Income Imperative: for Peace, Justice, Liberty, and Personal Dignity.
One consensus in politics today, perhaps the only one, is that our government is broken and dysfunctional.
With this book, I'm seeking to revive and restore the ideals, values, and goals of America's Founders. I believe we can have a peaceful democratic revolution within the next three-to-five years. Here's the plan.
