Maureen Shaughnessy
Maureen Shaughnessy has translated Hebe Uhart, Sara Gallardo, Nurit Kasztelan and Luis Nuño, among other authors. Her translations have been published in The Paris Review, Brick, AGNI, World Literature Today, The Antioch Review, Latin American Literature Today, Words Without Borders, The Brooklyn Rail, and Asymptote. Her translation of Hebe Uhart’s selected stories, The Scent of Buenos Aires (Archipelago Books) was longlisted for the 2020 PEN translation prize. She was born in Portland, Oregon and lives in Bariloche, Argentina.
