Nance Van Winckel's newest books are Sister Zero (a memoir, 2022, Slant Books), Ever Yrs. (a novel in the form of a scrapbook, 2014,Twisted Road), and The Many Beds of Martha Washington (poems, 2021, Pacific Northwest Poetry Series). Pacific Walkers, her sixth collection of poems, was a finalist for the 2014 Washington State Book Awards. A book of visual poetry, Book of No Ledge, appeared in 2016 with Pleiades Press. The recipient of a Christopher Isherwood Fiction Award, two NEA Poetry Fellowships and awards from the Poetry Society of America, Poetry, and Prairie Schooner, she has published widely in literary journals and currently serves as Poetry Editor for Hunger Mountain Review. She is on the MFA faculty of Vermont College of Fine Arts and a Professor Emerita in E. Washington University's Inland Northwest Center for Writers.
