MATTHEW J. GILBERT is one of many Matthew Gilberts. Seriously, Google it. There's like a trillion of them. This particular Matthew Gilbert is lucky enough to tell stories for a living. He's written tie-in books for Netflix's Stranger Things, novelizations for Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and he co-wrote the Classroom 13 book series - which was included on the prestigious 2018-19 Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List. Before focusing on books full-time, Gilbert began his career at Nickelodeon, writing everything from promo scripts to movie trailers and original shows. He lives in California with his wife and two cats who think they are dogs.
