DEBORAH Aydt Marinelli
Author Biography
Deborah Aydt Marinelli has published 11 books, both fiction and nonfiction, through traditional channels. Over the years, her titles included commercial novels, young adult novels, young adult biographies and nonfiction, and a critical thinking textbook for Houghton Mifflin (co-author credit with Susan Shapiro). Her book contracts were with John Knox Press, Playboy Press, Scholastic Books, Fawcett Juniper, Rosen Books, and included a handful of foreign sales and one option to the ABC network. She is a member of Author’s Guild and her degrees are from the University of Texas (Austin), St. John’s College (Santa Fe, NM) and her doctorate in memoir and life writing is from the State University of New York at Albany. She was happily married to the late Lorenzo Marinelli, a producer, film editor and 50-year member of the Motion Picture Editors’ Guild, until his death in 2018. She lives and works in New York City and Lake Kinderhook, New York. Deborah Marinelli has always loved atmospheric suspense writing, and has a particular fondness for the vintage mysteries of P.D. James, Henning Mankell, Arnaldur Indriðason, Patricia Highsmith, and Susan Hill.
