John A. Meyer
John Meyer wrote the last songs Judy Garland ever sang. His relationship with her sparked his memoir, Heartbreaker, (originally Doubleday) re-issued by Kensington in 2006. Prior to that, his novel, Nightchild, was published by Pocket Books in 1978. He has written comedy lyrics for performers like Eartha Kitt, Linda Lavin, Madeline Kahn and Lily Tomlin. His musical, the Betrayal of Nora Blake, was produced by London's prestigious Jermyn Street Theatre in 1998. Because he is a lyricist, his prose has a rhythm and flow to it that keeps you reading.
