Charity A. Rue
Author Charity A. Rue aka Ruechari has been creating works of fiction for over 20 years. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA this Literary Award-Winning author runs the gamut with a variety of genres from Historical Romance, New Adult, Young Adult, Paranormal, Contemporary, and Fantasy. All her stories carry an element of romance and interesting plot twists.
Her Historical Mystery Romance novel “From the Ashes” has received over 1/2 million reads on Wattpad and reached #1 on their Historical Hot Fiction List in 2016. Charity was also chosen for the shortlist in Wattpad’s Open Novella Contest in 2018 with her story “Love’s Counterpart”. She’s been honored with Poet in Perpetuum at the Poet’s Pub. In June of 2020, she joined Wattpad's elite legion of writers -Wattpad Stars.
Several of her poems have been published in anthologies, and in 2017 she self-published a children’s story “Best Buds b and d” to help children who have difficulty deciphering between these two letters and in March of 2020 has released her companion story "Minding p & q".
On March 30, 2019, Charity won her first-ever Literary Award for her book "Someone To Watch Over You", being named winner of the Campus Romance Contest held by Litnet and the American Writer's Conference, in Portland OR.
Charity runs her own short story writer’s club, Storytellers Saloon, where she also currently collaborates with 9 writers who span 3 continents in writing a Western that is written in poetry. The series “Busted Gulch” is now in its 4th year and 14th volume. She also runs the unofficial writer's club for Booknet on Facebook.
Charity has always been passionate about writing. Married over 25 years and proud mother of two young sons, that Charity home schools, she strives to make a success of herself in life and her writing career to show her children that they too can achieve their dreams, so long as they never give up on them.
