Kate Sullivan
Kate Sullivan, the executive editor of WordSmitten Media, Inc., edits fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, teaches writing workshops, and is the host and producer of the WordSmitten radio broadcast. Exclusive interviews with Pulitzer Prize-winning authors (Gilbert King, Geraldine Brooks, Timothy Egan, Paul Harding, Edward P. Jones, Jane Smiley, Elizabeth Strout) appear on NPR, iTunes, BTR on the East Coast, Podbean, Soundcloud, and LearnOutLoud.com on the West Coast.
For more than two decades, Kate has conducted writing workshops and conferences. Recent writing conferences have featured the legendary author Tom Robbins, Oprah-pick author Connie May Fowler, and Rita Ciresi, winner of the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction.
A journalist, she worked for daily and weekly newspapers, edited and published the national literary magazine WordSmitten Quarterly Journal (WSQJ), wrote for the Daily Bruin (UCLA) during her undergrad years, and ran the University of Hawaii Foundation office of the SBDC in Kona, Hawaii. She currently resides in St. Petersburg, Florida, with her husband and two cats (Dylan and Twain) who own her.
