About
Chris Cole (xe/xim) is writing like xe’s running out of time.
Born and raised in Southeast Idaho, Chris has always had a love of stories: reading, watching, or telling them. Throughout school, xe always found time to write and be creative in multiple endeavors. From yearbook to choir to English assignments, Chris always found joy in creating.
First published in 2020, Chris has multiple books on the market, with many more in the works. These include three planned series in addition to the science-fiction series Fragments already published, several plays and screenplays, and sequels to books already and yet-to-be-published.
Currently working as a full-time licensed professional counselor, xe continues to write in whatever spare time comes along. Chris also enjoys advocacy and outreach in the LGBTQ+ population, and smiles at the compliment of being called radical leftist scum.
Featured Work
Ancient Wonders Book One: The Sword's Secret
Closeted mythologist and museum curator Dr. Rhys Wilder has just been offered the adventure of a lifetime: a grant to recover Excalibur, sword of the fabled King Arthur, whose existence has yet to be proven. However, Rhys soon discovers he's signed up for more than he realizes after meeting the man behind the grant, a Southern oil tycoon and antiquities dealer, D'Arcy Duchesne III.
Luckily, Rhys finds help in unlikely places and some diverse voices, including a rainbow-haired frenemy, the grandson of a wealthy tight-lipped British dame, and a dashing, muscular man Rhys finds terribly sexy and extremely irritating.
In book one of the Ancient Wonders series, Rhys not only navigates the mysteries of the Arthurian Legend and the mysteries surrounding the sword, but also the current political intrigue to complete his goal - all the while wrapping himself deeper into dangerous waters from which there may be no escape.
