About

I am an award-winning author and presenter of eight books by traditional publishers. I write children’s picture books and history books for a cross-over audience. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education and attended the University of Toledo and Miami University, Ohio. While working on my Masters in Reading/Literature I taught elementary school and was a reading specialist for twelve years. I am also a contributing author for www.BlackPast.org, the largest online encyclopedia on African American and Global African history.
