Scott is a teacher, photographer, and writer. He’s also worked as a National Park Service Ranger/Naturalist, Participant in NASA space medicine research, NASA state educational representative for Montana and Nevada, published photographer and writer. His authorized biography of Earth Abides author George R. Stewart can be found in university libraries on five continents.

Scott has developed or helped develop several educational programs and publications based on “The Ranger and The Astronaut” theme inspired by the work of George R. Stewart.

Currently, Scott, Independent Scholar and writer, volunteers for national parks and forests and the Talking Books Program of the Library of Congress at the Nevada State Library in Carson City. He is (slowly) working on another book, designed to answer David McCullough’s question about the Scottish Enlightenment: “Why There?”
