I became inspired to become a children's book author when I had the privilege of watching my grandsons learn to love books and to read on their own. Reading to my grandsons - and listening to them read to me - brought such life to the words and pictures that I felt drawn to leverage my professional communication experience into something more child-centered. I began writing as a labor of love, but creating stories has blossomed info a full-blown passion project. I'm looking forward to paving the way toward launching an encore career as a published author in the picture book genre.
