Clifford Garstang is the author of the novels OLIVER'S TRAVELS and THE SHAMAN OF TURTLE VALLEY and three short story collections: the novel in stories WHAT THE ZHANG BOYS KNOW, winner of the Library of Virginia Literary Award for Fiction; the story collection IN AN UNCHARTED COUNTRY, winner of the Maria Thomas Fiction Prize from Peace Corps Writers, and, most recently, HOUSE OF THE ANCIENTS AND OTHER STORIES. He is co-founder and former Editor in Chief of PRIME NUMBER MAGAZINE and editor of the anthology series EVERYWHERE STORIES: SHORT FICTION FROM A SMALL PLANET.
