About

Born in Brooklyn, raised in Greenwich Village, lived in Boston, Manhattan and now, St Louis, I departed only a bit from my parents' careers as writers/ journalists, and became an educator. After teaching for 12 years or so, I became a Head of School, first in St Louis and then in New York City. In my current "chapter",I will be co-facilitating a class in historical fiction in the Fall at the Life Long Learning Institute at Washington University. I recently completed a memoir of personal and professional narratives which I self-published for family and colleagues and alumnae of the girls' schools which I led for 22 years. Writing is in my blood. I write when I have concerns, I write when I am happy. I write letters to editors which occasionally get published and I write tributes to my friends. As a little girl and a not-so-little girl, I imagined my self to be Jo in Little Women and so I "scribbled" and still do.
