About
Caroline Bock writes stories—from micros to novels. She is the author of CARRY HER HOME, winner of the Fiction Award from the Washington Writers' Publishing, and the young adult novels: LIE and BEFORE MY EYES from St. Martin's Press. She is the co-president and prose editor at the Washington Writers’ Publishing House. She is a graduate of Syracuse University where she studied creative writing with Raymond Carver and Jack Gilbert. In 2011, after a twenty-year career as a television executive, she earned an MFA in Fiction from The City College of New York.
She is the co-president and prose editor at the Washington Writers' Publishing House, the longest, continuously operating cooperative nonprofit literary press in the United States. Established in 1975 and dedicated to publishing fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction from writers in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
