About
I'm a Dutch Canadian writer and therapist living in Los Angeles, raising a delightful teenage son with my supportive husband and the obligatory author's cat. I love travel, theatre, chocolate, and humans. I am passionate about social justice and building a world wherein we embrace ourselves and one another in the truth of equality and inherent, immutable worth.
As a Doctor of Psychology and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I run a private practice specializing in helping individuals heal from traumatic life experiences and painful relationship dynamics. I published my first two books, Gaslighting: A Step-by-Step Recovery Guide and Trauma Recovery Workbook for Teens, in 2021 and 2022.
