Dr Stacey Alexander is an Australian writer, researcher, and manager, with a background in psychology, family therapy, child protection, disability, and Early Childhood Intervention (ECI). Stacey was lead author of The Key Worker: Resources for Early Childhood Intervention Professionals and the Key Worker Online Course. Stacey’s PhD explored how ECI professionals can improve the attachment security of children with a disability or developmental delay. To share the findings of this research, Stacey published several journal articles followed by her book Attachment-Focused Early Childhood Intervention (2026). Stacey is currently working as the General Manager - Research & Innovation at Noah's Ark Inc in Melbourne and is designing an online course to support early years professionals to consolidate their their learning from the book.

Attachment-Focused Early Intervention
The book informs and inspires Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) professionals regarding why and how to improve the attachment security of children, including those with a disability or developmental delay, within the context of best practice in ECI. It will help the audience understand the importance of attachment security to development, wellbeing, and participation, and why the formation of a secure parent-child attachment can be challenging for children with disability or developmental delay. Practical evidence-informed strategies to support positive parent-child relationships within the context of best practice in ECI will be discussed.
