About
I retired from law in late 2019 with plans to travel. When the pandemic quashed a number of very cool trips planned with my wife, I returned to an old hobby that I had put in the back of a drawer during my working years. During COVID, I finished writing two novels and wrote two screenplays and a pilot for streaming. I've entered my projects into competitions and have enjoyed some success (ie, my historical family saga placed top 100 in the Launch Pad Prose Competition, my comedy screenplay semi-finaled at the Austin Film Festival, and my historical drama won best first-time screenwriter by Chicago Script Awards).
Years ago, I had a small gift book published of photography and vignettes. My pieces were published in a number of journals and magazines as well. Living a life of creativity sure beats the heck out of working in law!
I live in Chicago, am a recovering attorney, amateur photographer, and pescatarian, founded a national end-of-life wish granting charity, and am the lucky wife of a very supportive woman who has put up with my need to overachieve and purchase fun eyeglasses for more than thirty years.
