Marcus Heerdt lives and works in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota in the southern Hills community of Hot Springs.
Heerdt loves taking pictures and writing stories about his adventures. His works have appeared in books, newspapers, magazines, edited collections, and online publications.
Currently, he is an award-winning reporter for the Fall River County Herald-Star newspaper in Hot Springs.
In his free time, he enjoys being near water swimming, kayaking, waterskiing, and fishing.
