About
Coming from a background of visual storytelling across several fields, Pauline is now an author/illustrator of children's books, a perfect playground for many of her interests.
Way back in the digital Stone Age (i.e., 1987), Pauline co-founded Rhythm & Hues Studios, a visual effects company which won multiple Academy Awards® for Best Visual Effects (“Life of Pi”, “Babe”, and “The Golden Compass”). Pauline wore many hats there, including programmer, digital artist, and art director. She worked on projects such as “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone”, Disney's theme park attraction “It's Tough to be a Bug”, and the first Coco-Cola Polar Bear commercial.
Inspired by many trips to the Southwest, her first published book was “Whispers of the Wolf” (Wisdom Tales Press). One of her works-in-progress, "Mortimer Mole (Went for a Stroll!)", won a local SCBWI Writer's Day contest and was part of the winners cohort of the 2023 Storyteller Academy's Showcase.
Pauline currently lives in Los Angeles, CA where she once served as a float judge for the Rose Parade and got to hold a bald eagle.
