Even though I love to write and majored in journalism, I have worked as a teacher, a guidance counselor, a social worker and a therapist. Aside from a few articles for magazines and local newspapers right out of college, I have only written for my own enjoyment - until recently. I wrote a story about Latinos and civil rights for middle and high school learners of Spanish. I'm currently working on getting a contract with an educational company that specialized in world languages. After I secure that, my next step is to expand the story into a novel and sell it in both Englisn and Spanish.
