The Story of the Marquis de Cressy (as translator)
Marie-Jeanne Riccoboni was a best-selling and critically acclaimed novelist in 18th-century France. This is the first English translation of this novel since 1765. Riccoboni's writing continues to resonate today, portraying heroines who seek agency over their own destinies and criticizing an unfair social order in which men benefit from unearned status.
