Brian Robert Moore is a literary translator from New York. His translations from the Italian include A Silence Shared by Lalla Romano (Pushkin Press), Meeting in Positano by Goliarda Sapienza (Other Press), and Verdigris and You, Bleeding Childhood by Michele Mari (And Other Stories). His translations and writing have appeared in The New Yorker, The Nation, Lit Hub, n+1, McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, The Millions, The Poetry Review, and elsewhere. He has received awards and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the O. Henry Prize, PEN America, English PEN, and the Santa Maddalena Foundation, among other institutions. His translation of Romano's A Silence Shared was shortlisted for the 2024 John Florio Prize and the 2023 Warwick Prize for Women in Translation, after winning the PEN Grant for the English Translation of Italian Literature; his translation of her novel In Farthest Seas is forthcoming from Pushkin Press.
