About

Sarah Hummell is an executive coach, entrepreneur, and storyteller whose work explores resilience, reinvention, and the courage required to rebuild a life after trauma. With more than 25 years of leadership experience in hospitality operations, food and beverage management, and strategic business development, she has built and led successful ventures ranging from independent restaurants and coffee concepts to large-scale hospitality operations. A certified sommelier with a deep passion for food, wine, and service culture, Sarah has spent her career at the intersection of hospitality, leadership, and storytelling. Her professional journey has taken her from running independent coffee and restaurant concepts to leading large hospitality teams and developing innovative food and beverage programs. Sarah’s writing is inspired by her personal experience surviving domestic abuse and rebuilding her life while raising two children and navigating high-stakes career transitions. Her memoir-inspired storytelling blends raw personal narrative with dark humor, cultural commentary, and the symbolic themes of reinvention and personal power. Her television series concept explores the journey from survival to self-determination through the lens of entrepreneurship, motherhood, and the pursuit of opportunity in New York City’s competitive hospitality industry. Sarah currently divides her time between business leadership, creative writing, and developing her story for television adaptation.

"Sarah is one of the most intelligent business owners I’ve met. She knows her numbers; she went to a hotel school in Switzerland that is #1 in the world! She got a full academic scholarship for college. She's run 3 hotels!" Celebrity Chef, Robert Irvine
