Deirdre Hennings was one of 14 selected nationwide for Boston’s 2022-23 Grubstreet Novel Generator nine-month program taught by Marjan Kamali (The Stationery Shop, others). Ms. Hennings' poetry is forthcoming in 2023 in Ars Medica (University of Toronto); an essay appeared in Litro/UK in 2017; other poems appeared in Yale's The Perch, Healing Muse, Pulse/Voices, Ars Medica and others. Her nonfiction piece, Thanksgiving, has been performed over the last four years in Los Angeles, San Francisco and on Zoom as part of The Matzo Ball Diaries by the Braid Theater (formerly, Jewish Women’s Theatre). She lives with her husband in Los Angeles.
