About

April Moore is the author of Folsom’s 93, a historical nonfiction about the crimes of Folsom Prison’s executed men originally published in 2013 with Linden Publishing. A revised edition is scheduled for a 2025 release with BookBar Press. She also published Bobbing for Watermelons, a women's fiction in 2015 with Hot Chocolate Press, and is the author of several published essays, short stories, and articles. April holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, graduating summa cum laude in July 2022.

April is also the former director of Northern Colorado Writers, (now called Writing Heights Writers Association) a writing organization in Fort Collins, Colorado that offered classes, workshops, retreats, and an annual conference. After three and a half years of heading up the 250+ member group, that included teaching workshops, conducting writing retreats, and organizing four, 2-day conferences, April stepped down as director to focus on her writing. She hopes to return to her young adult manuscript that is anxiously awaiting edits.
