About

Ken Cadow is a writer and a high school principal in rural Vermont. He has taught and been a part of school leadership teams in three different high schools. Much of his work in education has been to create programs that celebrate student's rural identities, and to shift general high school education to a model that emphasizes "know-how" as much as it emphasizes knowledge. In 2017, he was awarded Vermont Champion of Education by the League of Innovative Schools and the New England Consortium of Secondary Schools.

Ken serves on the boards of Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation and the Vermont Rural Education Collaborative. He lives with his wife, Lisa, in Norwich, Vermont (if a municipality must be given), and in Pompanousuc, VT, if you are more interested in "place." They have a border collie, Quinnie, and a cat, Rosie.
