About
I am a native Hoosier (from Indiana), a first-generation college student, and an epidemiologist educated at Indiana University’s Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. Prior to my graduate studies, I earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Purdue University and am a proud Warren Central High School alum. As a devoted advocate of health equity, I investigate the impact of social determinants of health on access to and quality of care, particularly among vulnerable populations. I also freelance as a scientific writer and editor and earned an Editor in the Life Sciences credential in 2023. Lastly, I thoroughly enjoy writing about spirits – the boozy type – and fiction, should I ever have the opportunity!
