I have been a Lutheran Pastor for the last twenty-two years in Oregon and have recently begun a new call in California. My faith journey has not been a straight course, and I am not your stereotypical Lutheran pastor. I challenge conventional norms, and push boundaries. I proclaim the radical grace of Jesus, whose life teaches us to embrace the outsider with no strings attached. Hope on Wheels, while having aspects of faith, is really a coming of age story of liberation. While reading my memoir readers may wonder how did this person become a pastor? Over the years I have come to embrace my vocation and feel compelled to share my story.
