Following the Front: The Dispatches of World War II Correspondent Sidney A. Olson

War correspondent Sidney A. Olson bravely "followed the front" as the Allies pushed the Nazis back into Germany during the last 6 months of WWII. His unedited dispatches have an air of immediacy, as if you are right there with him. The book also includes Olson's personal letters and diary entries from this period. His writing captures the human story of WWII in Europe, addressing important themes of combat and strategic bombing, the Allied Forces, the Holocaust, the collapse of the Nazi regime, and the resulting refugee crisis. His eyewitness account of the historic liberation of Dachau will be published in its entirety for the first time.
