Cynthia Swanson writes psychological suspense, often using historical settings. Cynthia’s debut novel, The Bookseller (Harper, 2015), was a New York Times bestseller, the winner of the 2016 WILLA Award. and is slated to be a motion picture produced by Julia Roberts. Cynthia’s second novel is the USA Today bestseller The Glass Forest (Simon & Schuster, 2018). Cynthia is the editor of the anthology Denver Noir (Akashic Books, 2022), which won the 2023 Colorado Book Award. Cynthia also ghostwrites, offers developmental editing for fiction writers and memoirists, and is available for other freelance copywriting and editing projects. She lives with her family in Denver, CO.
