Mark Greathouse is an author under contract to Defiance Press & Publishing, LLC which has published eight of his books since 2019. As President of GTG Solutions, LLC, Mark Greathouse offers copy editing and beta reading services to authors and magazines, has written regular newspaper op-eds, and magazine articles and short stories. He draws upon more than 35 years of proven executive business experience and expertise with enterprises serving domestic and international clients in industries such as software, telecommunications, biotech, social media, education, e-commerce, real estate, government contracting, physical and cyber security technologies, and nonprofit. Greathouse has guided corporate teams through hundreds of decision events concerning optimum application of precious time and money resources while achieving remarkable growth. He spent 25 years in the defense contracting industry rising through executive ranks while responsible for strategic business planning, publications, marketing communications, public affairs, and public relations. Greathouse was managing director of Mid-Atlantic Angels, LLC, a group of accredited investors investing in pre- or early-revenue technology-driven enterprises. He was a pioneer in the online private equity venture investment industry in the late-1990s with New Vision Financial, Inc’s EDIE Online marketplace. Greathouse is a 1997 graduate of the Washington, DC area’s prestigious Mindshare Program for entrepreneurial executives. He has served in top leadership roles with several business and community organizations, including award-winning leadership roles with the American Marketing Association (chapter president), the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MD) (board member & president - led 100 percent growth), and The Treatment and Learning Centers (board member & president). He contributed more than 20 years to the Boy Scouts of America (Eagle, Order of the Arrow (Vigil Honor), Cubmaster, Asst Scoutmaster). Among a host of other activities, he judged the annual American University Kogod Business Case competition, was a host for the annual DC area High Tech Prayer Breakfast, and held elected office on a local school board.
