Jody Gelb was an actor and singer in the theater for more than forty years.
She was in the original Broadway companies of The Who's Tommy, Titanic and Wrong Mountain. She also appeared in Wicked and Big River on Broadway and on tour in the U.S.A.
She has written and performed solo shows in theater and cabaret around New York City.
On television she has played guest supporting roles in Law & Order and on Dr. Death.

She May Be Lying Down But She May Be Very Happy is her first book.
It is a micro-memoir about raising her daughter Lueza Wanda who was severely brain damaged during her birth at a Manhattan hospital in 1994.
