About

Stephen Chiger is a director of literacy for Uncommon Schools and the co-author of Love and Literacy, a book on secondary English pedagogy. He is honored to have trained thousands of teachers and leaders internationally. Named 2015 Educator of the Year by the New Jersey Council of Teachers of English, Chiger has also served as president of the Garden State Scholastic Press Association and co-director for the Hugh N. Boyd Journalism Diversity Workshop. He recently co-wrote Gram and Gran Save the Summer, a book of solve-it-yourself mysteries that teaches media literacy to younger readers (grades 4-7).
