About
I've been writing and publishing short stories, essays, and articles for decades. I've written and marketing a novel and nonfiction book, neither of which have been published. Now, I have a collection of essays and a manuscript of short stories polished by a professional editor, and am researching publishers for each.
My work has appeared the Huffington Post, Antioch Review, Big Muddy, Two Serious Ladies, Hurricane Alice and Sojourners among others. Commentaries have been published in the Chicago Tribune and elsewhere. I was a finalist, one of six, in Holy Cow! Press’ first fiction-collection contest, 2018. Eleven years as a State of Minnesota writer brought me numerous first-place awards from the National Association of Government Communicators. A former Norcroft writers’ retreat resident, I've been long a member of the Loft Literary Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
