Lexi Pandell is a writer from Oakland, California.

Her non-fiction work has been published by The Atlantic, The New York Times, WIRED, The New Republic, Vox, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, Playboy, AARP, Creative Nonfiction, and many others. Her short fiction has been published by WIRED, New Ohio Review, The Normal School, Queen Mob’s Tea House, The Museum of Americana, Peatsmoke Journal, Otherwheres, and the Berkeley Noir anthology from Akashic Books. She has a story forthcoming with Salt Hill.

She is an alumna of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and the host of Desert Salon, an annual writing retreat in Joshua Tree, California. She was a 2020 Writing by Writers fellow and, in 2022, she won the Editors’ Prize in Fiction from New Ohio Review.
