I am an Army Brat, and have traveled and lived in many places. I am a middle "child" sandwiched between two sisters. I am in my 31st year of teaching young children , where I have the honor of connecting with many people of varying cultures and ethnicities. My debut book, Out of Place: Coming of Age in Cold War West Germany, a memoir of my three coming-of-age years in Frankfurt, Germany, was published December 3, 2024 through She Writes Press and districuted through Simon and Schuster. I write on Substack once a week (https://marymcknight.substack.com) and would love for you to join my readership. I am currently working on the second draft of a Rom-Com and am super excited about the change in genre. It is exercising my dialog muscles and keeps me laughing as I write.
