About
I am a Nigerian-American writer who lives in Texas. I put my psychology degree to work by blogging and exploring the mind through the written word. I'm the author of The Looming Fog: a Novel, and my poetry has been published in Plum Recruit Magazine, A Little Poetry, Elephant Journal, Argotist online, and African Writer Magazine.
I'm a mercurial writer, and the stepchildren of emotions are my muses.

Out of the Cocoon: The Journey to Becoming
Out of the Cocoon: The Journey to Becoming is a hybrid prose and poetry memoir that takes an intimate look at the author’s experience with childhood sexual abuse in her native country, emotional abuse as an immigrant, and racism and sexism as a black woman. The focus of these intimate reveals is to show the damaging effects of these negative experiences while understanding that the negative effects do not have to be permanent or self-limiting. The author, using her personal experience and her education (she has a psychology degree and a medical degree), gives insights about how to move from wounded to healed, from trauma to growth.
