About

I’m Emily Hunsberger, a translator, writer, editor, audio storyteller, and communications generalist with experience in a wide range of fields. English, Spanish, and Portuguese are my first, second, and third languages, respectively. I've published original poetry, reporting, and criticism in English and Spanish in Bello Collective, Spanglish Voces, and Latino Book Review. I translate fiction, nonfiction, and poetry primarily by women writers into English, with work featured in Latin American Literature Today, The Southern Review, Anfibias Literarias, PRISM international, and The Common. From 2017-2022, I wrote, created, recorded, edited, and produced Tertulia, an independent, Spanish-language podcast about how Spanish is used by real people in the US to build community, transmit culture, reclaim identity, and exercise rights.
