About

Readers read to escape life. I write to confront mine head-on.

On the surface, I look like any other woman. My days are filled with laundry, cooking, and cleaning up after the dog. But beneath the surface, I live a very different life than most.

In 2018, I was a victim of crime. My journey through the judicial system was nothing like what you see on television. It was frustrating. It was difficult. And taking the witness stand to testify against the perpetrator that turned my life upside down was worth it when he was convicted on the first charge in 2020.

I didn't want to be just another victim telling their story. Instead, I translated my experience into imagined storylines—ones where I controlled the narrative. I found that as my plots thickened, I could offer something other authors in the genre could not: the raw, visceral elements crafted from firsthand truth.

After an infuriatingly short sentence the perpetrator of my crime served, and two probation violations, I chose to enter a clandestine life. I quit my job, changed my name, relocated, and deleted all social media profiles. Even so, after he completed probation, he was arrested, again, for violating the protective order and attempting to locate me. He continues his hunt and the thought of him finding me haunts every decision I make.

With a Bachelor of Arts in the English degree family and an MBA, I turned to writing. I've always been an avid reader of the thriller genre and wrote my first story as a hobby at the age of 14.
