John has treated his life as a designed adventure, living and working in Michigan, Florida, Singapore, India, and China. He’s helped to develop an off-grid cabin in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to learn about solar power, crossed the country on his motorcycle (recently swapped for an electric bicycle), winter camped as a twelve-year-old, is a certified armorer, licensed residential builder, musician, and writer. His most important roles are as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He and his wife Sally are semi-nomads, traveling to avoid winter and spending summers at Stony Lake, MI.
