Dr. Carpenter is the founding Director of the Solidarity Economy Workshop of the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor at Georgetown University. Dr. Carpenter is a veteran of Wall Street and a leading authority for the capitalization of social purpose corporations. She is also the host and executive producer of the business ethics podcast, What Does It Profit, which has garnered over a quarter of a million downloads from around the world. She continues to serve on corporate finance committees and as a senior advisor to the Finance and Humanity working group of the Economy of Francesco, the Vatican's new economy initiative. She is currently working on her first book entitled "Achieving the Solidarity Economy: How Experiments in Capitalism Can Lead Us to a Better World."
