Denise Forsythe's debut domestic suspense novel, Misconception, will publish in late 2024.
Under the pen name, Denise Johnson, she has authored several mystery, horror, and science fiction short stories published in numerous magazines and anthologies. A few of her stories have received recognition.
Honorable Mentions in the 2019 Central Indiana Writer’s Assoc. Cozy Mystery Short Story and in the 2018 League of Utah Writers Creative Writing Contest.
Most recently, her short story "Death & Deception at the Codwall Inn" was awarded Fourth Place in the Genre Short Story category of the 91st Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition.
As a non-fiction business trade writer and editor, her work has appeared in numerous magazines and websites, including, Claims Journal, Insurance Journal, Carrier Management, HR Pro, Bloomberg, and the Anti-Corruption Report. She's also written content for business websites, including the National Insurance Crime Bureau, BenefitsPro, ATI, etc.
