A graduate of Stanford University and a former professional ballerina with the Miami City Ballet, I'm the author of three ballet-themed YA novels, Girl in Motion (2010), Breaking Pointe (2012), and the forthcoming Lauren in the Limelight. I was a fellow at the 2022 juried writer's conference LitCamp and held editorial positions at Hyperion, Simon & Schuster, Amazon, and the independent bookstore Island Books. When not writing, I can be found teaching classes at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School and enjoying life on Lake Washington alongside my husband, four children, and two poodles.
